$5.00 Nivea Target Gift Card deal…gotta see it to believe it!

This deal was so good.. we did it 14 times! Here’s the scoop: At Target if you buy THREE Nivea products worth $5.00 or more (before coupons) you will get a $5.00 target gift card back. If you have coupons you can get all the items really cheap… or make money on them.

So here’s what we did:
We bought One Nivea Lotion for $5.39
We bought Two Nivea Creames for $.87 each.
We used a $2.00 Nivea Coupon from the 4-29 RedPlum Insert

This means we bought all three products for 13 cents! We’ll be making gift baskets for sure with these!

With all the gift cards we collected today… who knows what we’ll get.

House Party

I was recently selected to host a Johnsonville Italian Sausage House Party. If you are not familiar with a House Party, it is a party that manufacturers have people host to introduce new products or favorites that have been around for awhile. I’ve been to two so far. The first House Party that I was invited to was a Digiorno Pizza party. It was loads of fun! My neighbor was the host and we met some new people. The hostess told us about the products that she was going to be serving. We sat around and ate Pizza and talked, laughed and just socialized. At the end of the Party we all were given coupons for Digiorno products. These usually are not small value coupons. They make it worth your while by giving you $1.50 to $4.00 off! If you hold on to these coupons you can usually score a really good deal. One of the grocery stores in my area always has what they call is meal deals. For like $12.00 to $14.00 dollars you will receive enough items to make a complete meal. It just so happened that I still had my Digiorno coupons so I was able to take a few dollars off the already great priced meal deal.

The second House Party I was invited to was a Glade Expression party. It was actually hosted by the same neighbor. Again I saved my coupons and Walgreens this week had a pretty good deal on them. They were on sale for $3.99. I used the $2.00 off coupon that I received from the house party, and I paid $1.49 and received back $1.50 Register Reward!

I would advice anybody that would be interested in hosting a House Party, just go to and fill out an application. And if you are not picked for that one, apply again and again. Whether you are hosting one or partifcipating, you will have a good time and take some coupons home too!

Our Publix Shop on 2-18-12 (the 50% off Kellogg’s Cereal)

Tonight we were paid to shop for cereal. Publix has a 50% off sale on most of Kellogg’s varieties. This, I think, is one for our record books.

We bought the following cereals: (keep in mind these are the prices AFTER the 50% off applied)
2 Kellogg’s Cracklin’ Oat Bran: $2.50
2 Kellogg’s Smart Start: $2.15
2 Kellogg’s Coco Krispies: $2.18
2 Kellogg’s Raisin Bran: $2.05
2 Kellogg’s Crispix: $2.04
2 Kellogg’s All bran: $2.19

Then we applied our coupons:
1 $5.00 off $25.00 Save a lot coupon (competitors coupon)
2 $5.00 off 5 boxes of Kellogg’s Manufacturer coupon
5 of $1.00 off 2 Target Coupon (competitors coupon)

We paid $6.20… BUT… if you buy 10 boxes like we did above.. you can ALSO send in for a Kellogg’s $10 prepaid Mastercard rebate!!

That means that we were paid $3.80 for our shopping trip. Since we like getting paid… we did this deal again.

So in all… We bought 24 boxes of cereal, spent $12.40.. getting back $20 in a Mastercard rebate.

Not bad for a night of shopping!
